| Comments: hello Allison, We 've done a great job! Iremember of the first days you arrived in France with your long hair daughters and cute little Dylan... It was summer time , hot and you were already different , a special and quiet girl... I really hope you won't only keep bad images of France ( I only kiss on both cheeks people I like and Yes I'm a bad driver but I can also be very friendly , I guess ). Take care, all the best in California, you deserve to be happy in this wonderful country. Sandrine |

| Comments: I love what you wrote about Poland. I especially liked the parallel structure revealing the changing life styles of modern day Poles. You're quite right, Poles have embraced the Western philosophy, but are forgetting their cultural identity. I truly beli ve Poland has to find her own road to prosperity and happiness. It was in God's faith Poles rebuild Warsaw from the rubble of WWII, and it will be in God's faith Poles will find that middle ground between leadership and resistance. I have been away from P land for over ten years, and I plan to visit my family this summer. I am afraid of the changes, however. I am constantly reminded of the summer breeze in the Tatra highlands, of the sound of violins churning out "Krakowiaczek Jeden", and of the smell of s usages roasting over a bon fire at the ever so popular village picnics. I know life in the country has not changed much, according to my grandparents, but time will tell before the wave of the future takes its toll on the peaceful farming communities of r ral Poland. I guess I am writing all this to let you know that you have inspired me to reflect back on my childhood growing up in a small town near the Czech border, and as a "recreational" writer that means a lot to me. In conclusion, I would like to say that you are a brilliant writer, I only dream of writing as well as you do. Best of luck to you in all your endeavors! Truly Yours! Albert Zahraj |

Hi Alison, Hi Dylan
Remember me? I hear you both had a great time in England this summer. It's boiling here, and our dog Flynn has developed a phobia of thunder storms, so he's been spending a lot of time under my desk, hiding.
Love to you both, Rachael
